There I was, juicing a boatload of green veggies last Monday morning, when the phone rang. On the other end? Lorraine Heath! It gets even better. After I confessed my undying love for Ms. Heath’s work, she told me why she’d called: I was a double finalist for the prestigious Rita award, given out annually by the Romance Writers of America®.
I believe my response went something like this: “Shut the front door!”
Ms. Heath assured me that it was true: The Devil in Disguise had been nominated in both the Best First Book and Best Regency Historical Romance.
Whoa. Double whoa.
